This past Presidents’ Day, SoWashCo Schools hosted its first Black History Month Student Social at East Ridge High School.

Students in grades 3-8, 10 and 11 will participate in MCAs beginning April 1.

Wolfpack Buddies is a student-led club at Park High School (PHS) that pairs students receiving special education services with peers in general education to build meaningful, one-to-one friendships. The club is part of Best Buddies International, a global nonprofit dedicated to establishing opportunities for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).

The Triple “A” Award is a  Minnesota State High School League Award that recognizes seniors excelling in academics, arts and athletics.

Last week, students from Park and Woodbury high schools competed against over 1000 students from other schools at the Intercontinental Hotel in downtown St. Paul. It was a great experience for the students who moved out of their comfort zones to challenge themselves in a professional setting. Students competed in events ranging from hospitality and tourism to finance to sports marketing. 

SoWashCo Schools is committed to creating a safe and supportive environment for all students. Every student has a constitutional right to attend school regardless of their immigration status, and public schools must remain a safe haven for learning.

This provides information that details how SoWashCo Schools handles interactions with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). 

• Participants must have:
  • English as a Second Language, at least Intermediate Level
  • 17+ older
  • Not currently enrolled in K-12 schools 
• When: Monday-Thursday 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
  • Dec. 15-March 5
  • March 16-May 28
• Where: District Program Center, 8400 E. Point Douglas Rd. in Cottage Grove

We are pleased to share that the graduations for the Class of 2026 at East Ridge, Park and Woodbury high schools will be held at TCO Performance Center in Eagan.

The Seal of Biliteracy is an award given upon high school graduation to students who show proficiency in English and an eligible language other than English.
